User: stylebysarahelizabeth     CALI STYLE VS TEXAS STYLE VS MIDWEST STYLE        It's common knowledge that each region of the country has different style. Different  weather, climates, humidity or lack there of, can really determine how we are dressing and  what we are buying. Northern California might have similar buying practices as the Midwest  in  the winter, but not southern California, and California isn't sweating it out in the humidity  everyday like Texas is. I know that hair is important in Texas and humidity makes hair bigger  and the higher the hair the closer to Jesus, but whew, humidity in Texas is no joke! You get  used to it though. I know the Midwest has humidity too, but its not Texan humidity. I'm going  to  go over each state/area/region's fashion and styl...

But sometimes, I see myself getting stuck on Wednesday's. Like I just wore this one  piece of pink last week, I can't wear the same thing again. This is when I have to be real  creative with make up and accessories. You don't always have to spend a fortune on your  outfits, you just have to think a little outside of the box. White Blazer

Image
How to Style a White Blazer for Winter   The chic twist on the classic black blazer, the white blazer is in her own lane. The pop that white can provide for other colors is unmatched. It is perfect to put on over an all-black outfit, also adds a great pop to a colorful dress. Adding instant elevation, every woman needs this piece to go from day to night. Every woman absolutely needs a white blazer in her wardrobe, just as much as the black blazer. The simplicity of the tailoring matched with the crisp white, you can put this over solids, prints, also mixed prints! Here I will give you three outfit ideas on how to style a white blazer.      A white blazer over a printed dress helps bring out the white base of the prints. The white also helps the silver of the necklace shine brighter. You can wear this in early spring and in fall, before we commit to our all-black wardrobes of winter. * White Blazer- Ann Taylor, Dress- Loft, Necklace- Banana Republic....

Plaid Shirt

Image
How to Style a Plaid Shirt  Does any other piece of clothing symbolize fall like a plaid shirt? Not at all. Make it casual or make it dressy, grab a PSL and let's go pumpkin picking!   A casual look is to wear the plaid shirt open over a graphic tee with jeans. My jeans are ripped and these are my personal favorite! You could wear booties with this look and make sure you cuff the bottoms of your jeans. You don't want to have the ends crumpled up over the top of the booties. * Plaid Shirt - Target, Graphic Tee - Guess, Jeans - American Eagle, Necklace - Banana Republic *   Another casual way but cute as well is to tie the shirt around your waist over a dress. This dress is more over-sized and is so easy to dress up or down. The shirt also helps give shape. You can wear knee-high boots with this and a long pea coat. * Dress - Loft, Plaid Shirt - Target, Necklace - Banana Republic *   An elevated look would be to wear ...

Mixing Prints

Image
How to mix prints Mixing prints is a great way to elevate your style and look uber fashionable. I know, you may think that mixing prints is hard, but I swear it's so easy. There is nothing wrong with a classic, white button-down and black blazer look, but if you want to give your outfit an extra boost then keep on reading!   The two main points to keep in mind are color and size. The color of the prints, and the size of the prints. Wearing monochrome colors is the easiest way to start. Then next is to think about the size of the prints. Prints can be leopard, stripes, hearts, floral, etc. You can mix the same print in an outfit, or you can mix the same colors and have different prints. The key is the same color or print.    *Outfits* 1. Top and skirt from Loft  2. Top from Target and skirt from Loft  3. Top from Brandon Thomas and skirt from Loft  4. Dress from Lauren James and cardigan from W...

5 Rules

5 Style Rules To Be Classy  The fashion world has made rules for years. Don't mix your metals, don't wear white after Labor Day, your bag and shoes must match. Fashion and style is all about expression, and while some rules are silly and outdated, there are some rules to follow to help you keep a certain standard of class.   1. Pick One or the Other. If you are showing off your legs, then cover up your chest. And vice versa. If you want to wear a smoky eye, then for-go the red lip. Having your legs and chest shown off does not give off a classy vibe. It makes you look cheap because you are revealing too much. No one wants that. * Romper from Pink Lily Boutique *   2. Pearls go with everything. Tee's, LBD's, classic button-up, one-shoulder top and printed blouses. Pearls are the epitome of sophistication, and can instantly elevate any outfit. If you want to go out in a black tee with jeans or leggings, throw a strand on or pearl studs, you are good to go. Pear...
