Mixing Prints

How to mix prints

Mixing prints is a great way to elevate your style and look uber fashionable. I know, you may think that mixing prints is hard, but I swear it's so easy. There is nothing wrong with a classic, white button-down and black blazer look, but if you want to give your outfit an extra boost then keep on reading!

The two main points to keep in mind are color and size. The color of the prints, and the size of the prints. Wearing monochrome colors is the easiest way to start. Then next is to think about the size of the prints. Prints can be leopard, stripes, hearts, floral, etc. You can mix the same print in an outfit, or you can mix the same colors and have different prints. The key is the same color or print.
*Outfits*
1. Top and skirt from Loft
2. Top from Target and skirt from Loft
3. Top from Brandon Thomas and skirt from Loft
4. Dress from Lauren James and cardigan from Where Are You From

The 2nd picture is a more extreme version of mixing prints. A peplum top balances a pencil skirt. And the leopard spots do have black in them, so that helps the colors flow.
